Questions, answered

Honestly answered.

Will this make me drowsy in the morning?

No. phew doesn’t override your system. The combination supports a wind-down — it helps you settle, not switch off. If you’re not already in a position to sleep, a strip won’t force the issue.

When do I take it?

30 to 45 minutes before bed. Brush your teeth, climb in, then drop a strip on your tongue. Let it dissolve. Don’t take it at 11 pm if you’re still answering emails.

Is melatonin safe long-term?

The FDA classifies melatonin as a dietary supplement, not a drug. At 1 mg, phew is well below typical OTC doses of 3–10 mg. Most long-term-use studies are at higher doses. The honest answer: short-term use is well-studied, long-term less so. We picked the lowest dose that still does something.

Why strips instead of gummies?

Faster sublingual onset (vs 30–60 minutes of digestion for gummies and capsules), no sugar (gummies need 2–3g per dose), and they travel without melting. The strip dissolves under your tongue — that’s the whole pitch.

A note from Marius

“I started phew because the supplement aisle is full of ‘calm’ gummies that are mostly sugar, ‘sleep’ pills that flatten you for ten hours, and ‘relaxation’ sprays that smell expensive but do nothing.”

“I wanted something I’d actually take — every night, without thinking. Nothing hidden. If it works for you, great. If not, send it back. That’s the deal.”
